Virat Kohli Continues to Suffer, Dismissed Multiple Times in the Nets Ahead of Kanpur Test
At the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, Team India began their training and practice for the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh . Head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen leading the practice. Batters Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma , Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli took up some batting practice in the nets as they faced the bowlers.
As per Indian Express, Kohli direly suffered against the pace and spin attack in the nets. Jasprit Bumrah delivered around 15 balls, in which he managed to hit some of his classic shots. But the pacer also dismissed four times. Bumrah hit one on Kohli’s pads, prompting an optimistic call out from the pacer. “saamne laga hai [You are plumb]” Bumrah said, and Kohli agreed to it.
The pacer then reduced his length and adopted a straighter line and trapped Kohli twice, and the ball flung after hitting his inside edge. Bumrah smiled and said, “Aakhiri wala toh short leg ka catch tha (The short leg would have caught that last one).”
