    “We Stand United Against Drugs”: Dil Raju After Key Meeting with Telangana CM

    Hyderabad, December 26, 2024: Telugu Film Development Council (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju, in a press briefing held in Hyderabad, announced the Council’s commitment to support the Telangana government in its fight against the drug menace. Following a high-level meeting with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Dil Raju revealed that the government sought the film industry’s collaboration to raise awareness and combat the growing issue of drug abuse among the youth.

    Speaking to reporters, Dil Raju emphasized the film industry’s responsibility for influencing societal behavior. “The government requested our assistance to curb the drug menace, and we readily accepted the call. As an influential medium, the film industry has a crucial role in spreading awareness and promoting a drug-free society,” he stated.

    The meeting reportedly included discussions on creating impactful anti-drug campaigns, incorporating social messages in movies, and organizing outreach programs targeting vulnerable groups. The FDC chairman also assured the CM of the industry’s full cooperation in delivering consistent messaging through various platforms.

    The Telangana government has been intensifying its efforts to address drug-related issues, and this collaboration with the film industry is seen as a significant step toward curbing substance abuse in the state.
