He said that the Vedas and their knowledge bring the world together; that the seers went beyond the world of sensory perception to an exploration of the world within. He added that the Vedas talked about the well-being of the whole world.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said at a book release Wednesday that the Vedas are synonymous with the country, are the basis of Sanatana Dharma, and that they mention various early scientific inventions that became the basis of later science.
While saying that critics may question why, say, the CT scan machine is not mentioned in them, Bhagwat asserted that many early scientific achievements, like the distance between the sun and the earth, and the time light would take to traverse between them, were mentioned there, providing an early basis for science.
