Dehradun, February 28, 2025 – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed rescue operations following a deadly avalanche in Chamoli district on February 27, 2025, which trapped workers at a construction site. So far, 16 workers have been rescued. The CM expressed gratitude to the emergency teams involved in the operation.
The Uttarakhand government has deployed search and rescue teams, including the NDRF, to assist in the efforts. The CM has ensured that all necessary resources are provided to the teams and has urged authorities to stay on high alert due to ongoing avalanche risks in the region.
