New Delhi, April 12, 2025 – Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services experienced widespread disruptions across India today, affecting platforms such as Paytm, PhonePe, and Google Pay. Users reported issues, including payment failures and transaction declines, leading to significant inconvenience for both individual and business transactions.
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) acknowledged the technical difficulties, stating, “NPCI is currently facing intermittent technical issues, leading to partial UPI transaction declines. We are working to resolve the issue and will keep you updated. We regret the inconvenience caused.”
