
Lucknow, December 23, 2024: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, scheduled for early 2025. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for meticulous planning and efficient execution to ensure the smooth conduct of the grand religious event, which is expected to attract millions of devotees from across the globe.
During a high-level meeting with senior officials, CM Adityanath instructed the administration to prioritize sanitation, security, and infrastructure development. He directed authorities to expedite the construction of roads, bridges, and temporary shelters to accommodate the large influx of pilgrims. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of deploying adequate healthcare facilities, including mobile medical units and emergency response teams, to handle any medical emergencies during the event.
Special attention was given to the management of the Ganga’s water quality, with directives to ensure cleanliness and sufficient water flow in the river throughout the Kumbh Mela. CM Adityanath also reviewed crowd management strategies and asked officials to utilize advanced technology, including drones and CCTV surveillance, for maintaining law and order.
The Chief Minister urged officials to promote eco-friendly practices, such as banning single-use plastics and setting up waste recycling systems, to minimize the environmental impact of the event. He also called for extensive publicity campaigns to raise awareness among devotees about safety protocols and sustainable practices.
With just weeks remaining until the Maha Kumbh begins, CM Adityanath assured that the state government is fully committed to delivering a safe, spiritual, and memorable experience for all visitors.
