Srikakulam, February 7, 2025: The central government has allocated ₹126 crore for expanding 66.4 km of roads in Srikakulam District, with Union Minister Rammohan Naidu instrumental in securing this funding. The project, expected to be completed within 24 months, is already underway with the tendering process.
Key road improvements include the Ampuram to Ghatimukundapuram stretch and the Naopada to Venkata Puram road, which will benefit numerous villages. These roads are crucial for local farmers and fishermen. Additionally, the Dol-Polaki-Naopada corridor improvements aim to boost regional industrial growth and complement airport and port developments in the area.
