    Union Minister Confirms Two Additional Vande Bharat Trains for Andhra Pradesh

    Amaravati, January 7 – Andhra Pradesh is set to receive two new Vande Bharat trains, with proposals currently under review by Union Minister Srinivasa Varma. The state is also expected to see new railway routes, including Machilipatnam-Narasapuram and Narasapuram-Kotipalli, with funding potentially being allocated in the upcoming union budget.

    Vande Bharat trains are already operating across various regions of Andhra Pradesh, including northern areas and Rayalaseema. Local MPs recently requested additional Vande Bharat services, and in response, the minister confirmed that two more trains are under consideration, along with a new service connecting Narasapuram and Varanasi.

    Varma also mentioned plans for a Vande Bharat service between Narasapuram and Secunderabad, and between Bhimavaram and Chennai. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Narasapuram-Machilipatnam route has been completed, and the minister is hopeful that the upcoming budget will expedite these projects with necessary funding.
