TTD Takes Action Against 18 Employees for Non-Hindu Practices

Tirumala, February 5: TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu has ordered action against 18 employees for following non-Hindu religious practices, which reportedly affected the sentiments of devotees and the sanctity of TTD. The decision follows a resolution passed by the TTD Board in November, addressing concerns over employees participating in TTD’s religious activities while practicing other religions.

The disciplinary measures include transferring these employees to other positions within TTD or to different government departments. Additionally, they will not be assigned to roles in temple festivals or other Hindu religious functions. The TTD has also proposed offering Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) to remove these employees from service.
