TTD Modernizes Sub-Enquiry Offices to Streamline Accommodation for Devotees

    TTD Modernized Sub-Enquiry Office:

To streamline accommodation allocation for Lord Venkateswara’s devotees, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken several steps. As part of this initiative, the Garudadri Nagar Cottage (GNC) sub-enquiry offices in Tirumala have been modernized. TTD Executive Officer (EO) Shyamala Rao announced that devotees who book rooms under the current system can now make cash payments directly at the sub-enquiry offices to secure their accommodation without any difficulty.

EO Shyamala Rao added that these measures aim to provide convenient lodging for devotees traveling from far-off areas for Lord Venkateswara’s darshan. The recently modernized GNC sub-enquiry office was inaugurated in a ceremonial puja led by EO Shyamala Rao, along with Additional EO Venkayya Chowdary, JEO Gouthami, and CVSO Sridhar. A survey is being conducted to assess all accommodations and rest houses in Tirumala, ensuring better facilities. Modernization efforts are also underway for 42 sub-enquiry offices across Tirumala.

In a bid to reduce pressure on the central enquiry office, EO Shyamala Rao revealed plans to decentralize room allocation. Devotees will be able to make payments and check-in at the respective sub-enquiry offices for their allocated cottages. Additional EO Venkayya Chowdary emphasized the use of advanced technology to address issues swiftly and enhance the overall experience for devotees. By decentralizing room allocation and simplifying the check-in and check-out process, TTD aims to improve efficiency and reduce wait times for devotees.

    Chatbot for Devotees:

To further enhance the darshan experience, TTD is integrating automation and artificial intelligence technologies. EO Shyamala Rao shared that a chatbot will soon be introduced to assist devotees. In addition, Reliance has partnered with TTD to implement facial recognition technology, allowing for accurate tracking of devotees. Google will also collaborate in this project.

To optimize services, TTD has invited three TCS experts to analyze operations for six months. They will help refine systems related to SSD, SED, and virtual queues, with the goal of reducing darshan timings. Additionally, EO Shyamala Rao mentioned that TTD is considering allowing more devotees to witness the Lord’s vehicle processions in Mada streets, pending approval from the Agama Advisory Council.
