Tirumala, January 10, 2025: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board of Trustees will hold an emergency meeting today. The meeting, scheduled for 4 PM, will discuss a resolution regarding compensation for the families of those who lost their lives in the stampede during the issuance of tokens for the Vaikuntha Dwara darshan. The board will also deliberate on the preparation of compensation cheques to be distributed to the bereaved families later this evening.
A team of three TTD board members will visit the villages of the deceased on Saturday morning to personally hand over the cheques. This step follows the board’s directive to organize an urgent meeting to address the compensation issue and ensure the families receive their due support in a timely manner.
