New Delhi, January 6, 2025 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is set to introduce stricter anti-spam regulations to address the growing menace of unwanted communications. The initiative aims to curb spam messages and calls, ensuring a safer and more efficient communication system for users.
As part of the plan, TRAI is also working on onboarding past user consents into a digital framework. This move will streamline the consent management process, empowering users with greater control over how their information is utilized by service providers. The updated norms are expected to enhance user privacy and improve compliance in the telecom sector.
