Guwahati, February 1, 2025: The Tibetan President-in-exile, Penpa Tsering, concluded his visit to Northeast India after a series of meetings and events aimed at strengthening ties with the region and engaging with Tibetan communities. During his visit, he interacted with local leaders, civil society members, and Tibetan refugees, discussing issues of cultural preservation and regional cooperation.
Addressing the media before departing, Tsering strongly criticized China’s oppressive policies in Tibet, highlighting the ongoing human rights violations and restrictions on religious freedom. He called for global support to address the deteriorating situation in the region and emphasized the need for peaceful dialogue to resolve the Tibet-China conflict.
