The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Kuncham Maheshwara Rao, Thoota Chandra Dhanasekhar, and Gunarangan, who are currently serving as advocates in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, as judges of the same High Court. The Collegium’s decision was announced in an order issued on Tuesday, which included Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, and Justice B.R. Gavai.
The Collegium’s decision took into consideration a proposal sent on May 15, after consulting with the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court, Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur, and two senior judges of the High Court. The proposal recommended the appointment of these three advocates as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
