Mumbai, February 19, 2025: Tesla, led by Elon Musk, is set to launch EV sales in India by April 2025, with imported models priced around ₹21 lakh. The company will initially focus on major cities, setting up showrooms in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and Delhi’s Aerocity to tap into high-demand markets.
As part of its expansion, Tesla has begun hiring for mid-level positions, including store and customer relationship managers, primarily in Mumbai. While local manufacturing is not yet planned, Tesla aims to boost component sourcing from Indian suppliers, expecting it to surpass $1 billion by 2025.
