Geneva, May 29, 2025 – Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor strongly condemned the use of terrorism as a tool in global conflicts during an international forum in Geneva. Speaking at a panel discussion on global peace and conflict resolution, Tharoor stated, “Terrorism should not be a way to address international disputes,” emphasizing the need for diplomatic and peaceful means to resolve tensions between nations.
Tharoor highlighted the importance of multilateral cooperation and adherence to international law in addressing global challenges. He warned that legitimizing or tolerating terrorism undermines global stability and endangers innocent lives. Urging the global community to adopt zero tolerance toward terrorism, Tharoor called for enhanced international frameworks to counter extremist ideologies while upholding human rights and justice.
