Hyderabad, December 28, 2024: Telugu filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaj has accused actor Allu Arjun of allegedly lying and attempting to cover up the events surrounding the stampede at a promotional event for Pushpa 2: The Rule. The tragic incident, which occurred earlier this month, resulted in three fatalities and several injuries.
In a strongly worded statement, Bharadwaj claimed that Allu Arjun and the film’s production team had downplayed the chaos caused by poor crowd management and failed to take responsibility for the mishap. He alleged that the actor’s statements in the aftermath of the incident were misleading and aimed at diverting public attention from the organizers’ negligence.
The stampede, which took place at a packed venue in Hyderabad, has drawn widespread criticism of the event’s organizers, with demands for stricter regulations for public gatherings. Bharadwaj urged the Telugu film industry to take such incidents seriously and prioritize the safety of fans during promotional activities.
The Pushpa 2 team has yet to respond to Bharadwaj’s accusations. The controversy adds to the ongoing debates about accountability and safety in high-profile film promotions.
