
New Delhi, December 12: Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho arrived in India today for a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. This visit underscores the growing partnership between India and Portugal in areas such as trade, technology, education, and cultural exchange.
During his stay, Minister Cravinho is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar, to discuss a range of issues, including enhancing economic ties, collaboration in renewable energy, and expanding defense cooperation. The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
Apart from high-level meetings, the Portuguese Foreign Minister will visit key cultural and historical sites in India, reflecting the shared history between the two nations. This visit is expected to further deepen the long-standing and multifaceted relationship between India and Portugal.
