Speaker Ayyannapatrudu Slams YSRCP for Assembly Misconduct

Amaravati, February 25, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ayyannapatrudu criticized the YSRCP members for their unruly behavior during the assembly session. He condemned their actions of displaying placards and tearing speech booklets while the governor was delivering his address. The Speaker also rebuked former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to control his party members and instead laughing at the disruptions. He warned that such incidents should not be repeated and emphasized the need for discipline and respect within the assembly.

In another development, the assembly decided to issue privilege notices to Sakshi media for allegedly publishing misleading reports. The reports claimed that large sums of money were misused without conducting MLA training sessions, a claim Speaker Ayyannapatrudu dismissed as false. He referred the matter to the House Privileges Committee for further action, stating that such misinformation should not be tolerated. Further steps will be taken based on the committee’s findings.
