CM Chandrababu expressed serious anger over the absence of nearly 25 TDP representatives at the meeting. He voiced his dissatisfaction regarding the absence of several leaders, including two Union ministers. He announced that from now on, schedules would be released a week in advance. Chief Minister Chandrababu made it clear that regardless of the leaders’ responsibilities or their ranks, they must attend the meetings without fail.
Direction on Key Issues: In a lengthy meeting with representatives that lasted over seven hours at the TDP central office, Chandrababu provided direction to the leaders on key issues. He firmly warned that he would not forgive anyone, regardless of their status, who brings disrepute to the party and the government. Chandrababu expressed anger over some leaders remaining silent about the false propaganda being spread by the YSRCP, questioning why they were not responding forcefully. He criticized the previous government for collecting taxes on garbage while trash piles remain visible everywhere and questioned why they were not explaining this to the public.
Government Schemes Must Reach the People: He mentioned that the government has taken many beneficial decisions for the public, including the recent repeal of the garbage tax, but these have not reached the people as expected. He instructed MLAs, MPs, and MLCs to widely promote the schemes implemented by the government among the public. He also emphasized the need to constantly expose the false propaganda being spread by the YSRCP.
MLA Appeals: Chandrababu received suggestions from the representatives. When the leaders requested that agricultural market committees be established immediately and that reservations be implemented within them, the Chief Minister assured that he would consider it. The MLAs requested the payment of pending bills for water and tree projects from the 2014-19 term. Minister for Roads and Buildings, BC Janardhan Reddy, asked for engineering assistants working in the secretariats to be allocated to his department.
Industrial Park Development: MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy suggested allocating five staff members from the secretariat in each constituency to address public grievances and complaints. MLA Gali Bhanuprakash requested the development of the Koshalanagaram Industrial Park in the Nagari constituency, to which Chandrababu agreed. Several MLAs expressed that the YSRCP government had halted payments for houses constructed during the TDP term from 2014-19 and urged that these payments be made. The Chief Minister responded that he would think about it and make a decision.
Some MLAs requested the issuance of licenses for mining dealers for the extraction of silica sand. Gandi Baji, the Visakhapatnam district president, suggested setting up sand depots in Visakhapatnam for those in need of sand for small construction projects, such as in tons or half tons. He also urged that the issues of the five villages in Simhachalam be resolved. MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao requested the appointment of a new APPSC chairman and urged for the swift release of job notifications, to which the Chief Minister responded positively.
Large-Scale Pensions for Ineligible Persons: Gautu Shireesh suggested that a scheme providing ₹1,500 per month to women should be launched quickly, as many people are inquiring about it. Additionally, several MLAs informed Chandrababu that large-scale pensions have been granted to ineligible persons during the YSRCP regime and urged him to investigate and revoke those pensions. They also requested a review of jobs given to ineligible individuals under the name “Apkas.”
Chandrababu expressed the opinion that the MLAs are highly expectant and seeking funds and authority. He clarified that he would only consider such requests if their performance is satisfactory. He made it clear that what he was saying applied not only to the new MLAs this time but also to the seniors. It is reported that he firmly admonished many of them to improve their performance.
