Simhachalam, February 17, 2025 — Simhachalam Railway Station is undergoing rapid development with Rs. 19.98 crore allocated under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. The station is adding three new platforms and modernizing existing ones, along with the construction of a 12-meter wide foot-over-bridge with two lifts and an escalator. The upgrades also include spacious waiting halls, advanced ticket counters, and modern amenities such as CCTV cameras and electronic displays.
Additionally, Rs. 12.69 crore has been allocated for the construction of a new Chandranagar Foot Overbridge. Handling 5,000 passengers daily and serving 16 trains, Simhachalam Railway Station generates annual revenue of Rs. 11 crore. These developments aim to improve station functionality and enhance the passenger experience.
