Mumbai, January 7 – Actor Paresh Ganatra, best known for his portrayal in Scam 1992, has opened up about his personal experience of losing ₹75,000 during the infamous 1992 Harshad Mehta scam. At the time, Ganatra’s monthly salary was ₹5,000, making the financial loss a significant blow. This personal setback played a pivotal role in inspiring him to take on the role of Radhakishan Damani in the hit series.
In a recent interview, Ganatra shared how his own financial difficulties during the scam made him more connected to the role, despite his initial reservations about the size of the character. He stressed that his personal experience with the scam deeply influenced his decision to accept the part, bringing a layer of authenticity to his performance.
