New Delhi, January 6, 2025 – The Supreme Court of India has directed that all pending cases related to the Competition Commission of India’s (CCI) investigation into Amazon and Flipkart be transferred to the Karnataka High Court. The move aims to consolidate the legal proceedings and ensure consistency in handling the matter.
The CCI probe examines allegations of anti-competitive practices by the two e-commerce giants, including preferential treatment for select sellers and deep discounting. The Supreme Court’s decision will streamline the judicial process, as the Karnataka High Court will now exclusively oversee the cases linked to the investigation.
