Satellite Images Unveil China’s Massive Wartime Military Complex Near Beijing

Beijing, January 31, 2025: Satellite imagery has revealed that China is constructing a large wartime military complex located approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Beijing. The facility, covering about 1,500 acres, is believed to have been under development since mid-2024. Deep excavations visible in the images suggest the construction of underground bunkers, likely designed to protect the Chinese military leadership during times of conflict, including potential nuclear scenarios.

Renny Babiarz, a former National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency analyst, pointed out that the imagery hints at several underground facilities potentially connected through passageways. However, he cautioned that more data is needed for a comprehensive assessment of the site. The project is raising concerns among defense experts, with implications for regional security and military strategies.
