Vijayawada, January 7 – In view of the Sankranti festival rush, APSRTC has announced the operation of 7,200 additional buses to meet the travel demand. Special buses will run to Telangana and other states from January 10 to January 13. From Hyderabad alone, 2,153 buses will operate to various destinations, while 375 buses will be deployed from Bengaluru and 300 additional buses from Vijayawada. For return journeys, 3,200 special buses will be available between January 16 and 20.
The RTC Managing Director stated that there would be no extra charges for these special buses, with fares matching those of regular services. Passengers can avail of advance booking facilities, and a 10% discount is offered for booking round-trip tickets simultaneously. The RTC assured a safe and comfortable travel experience and confirmed that arrangements have been made to cater to passenger demand across all routes.
