Seoul, March 26, 2025 – Han Jong-Hee, Samsung Electronics’ co-CEO and a key figure in its television business, passed away at 63 due to cardiac arrest. He had been with Samsung since 1988 and played a major role in making it the world’s leading TV manufacturer.
Appointed co-vice chairman and CEO in 2022, Han oversaw consumer electronics and mobile devices under Samsung chairman Lee Jae-yong. The company, which operates with separate CEOs for major divisions, has yet to announce his successor.
