New Delhi, May 30, 2025 – Senior Congress leader and member of the All-Party Delegation on Jammu and Kashmir, Salman Khurshid, has asserted that Pakistan must return Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to India. Speaking at a press conference following a high-level delegation meeting, Khurshid emphasized that PoK remains an integral part of India as per constitutional and parliamentary resolutions, and its return is necessary for lasting peace and stability in the region.
Khurshid further noted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have consistently reposed faith in the Indian Constitution, and any discussions regarding the region’s status must be grounded in India’s sovereignty. He criticized Pakistan for its continued illegal occupation and alleged use of PoK for terror-related activities. His remarks come amid renewed calls from political leaders and civil society to assert India’s claim over PoK more actively in international forums.
