New Delhi, March 29: The Sagarmala programme, India’s flagship port-led development initiative, has completed 10 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. With 839 projects worth ₹5.79 lakh crore underway, it has strengthened coastal connectivity, boosted the blue economy, and enhanced inland waterways.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal emphasized that Sagarmala has modernized ports, improved logistics efficiency, and reduced transportation costs. The initiative continues to drive economic growth and position India as a global logistics hub.
