Mumbai, January 24, 2025: Rohit Sharma’s batting struggles have continued in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25, as the Indian Test and ODI captain has failed to find form in domestic cricket. Following criticism for his performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India won only one Test under Jasprit Bumrah, Sharma’s inconsistency has raised doubts about his future as both a leader and an opening batsman in Tests.
Sharma, along with other Indian stars like Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli, returned to Ranji to regain form ahead of India’s upcoming Test series against England in June. However, his ongoing struggles have heightened concerns about his readiness for the challenge against a strong England side, led by Ben Stokes.
