
Delhi, May 31, 2025 – Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a state-of-the-art Apheresis Machine at the Lions Blood Centre in Shalimar Bagh today. The new machine is expected to enhance the blood donation process by allowing selective collection of blood components such as plasma and platelets, improving the efficiency and safety of transfusions. CM Gupta highlighted the importance of modern technology in healthcare and urged citizens to participate actively in blood donation drives.
During the event, officials from the Lions Blood Centre explained how the Apheresis Machine will benefit patients with specific needs, including those requiring platelets or plasma transfusions. The Chief Minister also praised the efforts of blood donors and healthcare workers for their invaluable contribution to saving lives. The installation of this advanced equipment aims to boost the blood centre’s capacity and improve overall healthcare services in the region.
