Kochi, March 29: L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, has become the fastest Malayalam film to cross ₹100 crore globally within two days of its release. The film earned ₹67.5 crore worldwide on its opening day, with ₹24.5 crore from India and ₹43 crore from international markets.
Despite this record-breaking start, the film saw a sharp 44.05% drop in domestic collections on day two, earning ₹11.75 crore in India. However, its strong overseas performance continues to drive impressive global earnings, highlighting its massive appeal and Mohanlal’s star power.
