Mumbai, April 8, 2025 – Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. This was RCB’s first over-rate offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct related to minimum over-rate offences.
As per the league’s rules, Patidar was handed a fine of ₹12 lakh for the violation. The penalty comes as the IPL continues to enforce strict regulations to ensure timely match completion and maintain the tournament’s pace.
