Sambhal: In a shocking incident that has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, a rape victim was shot dead by miscreants while she was on her way home with her family. The victim, who had traveled from Ghaziabad with her mother, was returning home late at night on a motorcycle with her brother when the attack happened in Bhamauri Patti village under Kaila Devi police station area.
According to the victim’s brother, they were attacked by two assailants in a car near a school outside their village. He added that the attackers pulled his sister down by her hair and shot her. She died on the spot from the gunfire.
The family had arrived in Sambhal late due to rain delays on their bus journey. The brother had gone to pick them up when the incident occurred. After the shooting, the attackers fled the scene.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police from the Kaila Devi police station arrived at the location, took custody of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem.
ASP Sambhal Shrishchandra confirmed that the girl was shot while returning home with her mother and brother. Police are actively searching for the miscreants, who are reportedly individuals released from jail recently, and further legal actions will follow based on evidence gathered during the investigation.
The incident has caused a stir in the area.
