    Rammohan Naidu Urges Central Support for AP Chili Farmers, Seeks ₹11,600 MSP

    Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, February 21, 2025: Union Minister Rammohan Naidu has urged the central government to support chili farmers in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media after attending a key meeting led by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Naidu stated that they requested a price of over ₹11,600 per quintal for chili. He also mentioned that discussions were held regarding chili exports, and Chouhan assured that a decision would be made after consulting exporters.

    Naidu further revealed that they sought international market support to stabilize chili prices and assist farmers. He emphasized that Minister Chouhan promptly responded to the concerns raised and assured that steps would be taken to address the price gap between market rates and production costs. Naidu reiterated that chili farmers are facing hardships and that their concerns have been brought to the central government’s attention.
