Bratislava, April 9, 2025: President Droupadi Murmu received a ceremonial welcome at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini. She was greeted with a traditional Slovak welcome of bread and salt, followed by a formal Guard of Honour, marking the importance of her state visit.
This is the first visit by an Indian President to Slovakia in nearly three decades, aimed at boosting bilateral ties. Before arriving in Slovakia, President Murmu concluded a state visit to Portugal, where she held talks to strengthen cooperation in various areas.
