Amaravati, April 22, 2025 — The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has denounced the arrest of former Andhra Pradesh DGP Gautam Sawang Anjaneyulu, labeling it a politically motivated move by the current government. The party argued that the arrest lacked substantial evidence and appeared to be a deliberate attempt to target officials linked to the previous administration.
During a press conference, YSRCP leaders accused the ruling regime of misusing official machinery to settle political scores. They cautioned that such actions could undermine democratic values and administrative integrity. Statewide protests were held by YSRCP supporters demanding Anjaneyulu’s release and a fair investigation into the matter.
