Prayagraj, December 13, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Mahakumbhnagar and Prayagraj to review the preparations for the upcoming 2025 Maha Kumbh, a major spiritual event scheduled for January and February. His visit, slated for December 13, will include the inauguration of several key projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and facilities for the event. This is part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the seamless organization of the Kumbh, which attracts millions of devotees and visitors every year.
Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an inspection of the preparations. The state government has also declared the area along the banks of the Sangam as Mahakumbhnagar, officially recognizing it as a new district. The local administration is focused on making the region ready for the influx of pilgrims, ensuring smooth logistics, and addressing security concerns.
Prayagraj is being transformed into a vibrant, festive hub as part of the preparations. Key roads, intersections, and parks are being beautifully decorated to welcome the devotees, reflecting the grandeur of the spiritual event. The arrangements are being made meticulously to accommodate the large crowd expected during the Kumbh.
