Bhagalpur, February 24, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme in Bhagalpur, Bihar, disbursing over ₹21,500 crore to more than 9.7 crore farmers nationwide. Each eligible farmer will receive ₹2,000 under this scheme, which provides annual financial assistance of ₹6,000 in three installments to small and marginal farmers.
The event at the Airport Ground in Bhagalpur is expected to draw around 500,000 farmers from 13 districts. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also be present. Along with the PM-KISAN fund release, Modi will inaugurate key development projects, including a Centre of Excellence for indigenous breeds in Motihari, a milk processing plant in Barauni, and railway and road infrastructure projects.
