    PM Modi to Attend 6th BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok, Strengthening Regional Ties

    Bangkok, April 2, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Bangkok on Thursday for a two-day visit, where he will meet Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit. Modi will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Government House and later join BIMSTEC leaders to oversee the signing of the Agreement on Maritime Cooperation. The summit will also mark the first in-person meeting of BIMSTEC leaders since 2018.

    During his visit, Modi will call on Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida and visit Wat Pho, renowned for its reclining Buddha statue. The BIMSTEC Summit is set to adopt the Bangkok Vision 2030, shaping the future of regional cooperation.
