Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed a significant rally in Akola, Maharashtra, as part of the BJP’s campaign ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Modi’s speech focused on the BJP’s commitment to uniting diverse communities and fostering a strong, secure Maharashtra. He urged the public to support the BJP and its allies in forming a stable government that he believes would ensure the state’s growth and safety.
During his address, Modi criticized the Congress party, accusing it of using divisive tactics to consolidate its power. He claimed that Congress creates social and communal divisions, which, he argued, weakens the nation. Emphasizing BJP’s contrasting approach, he highlighted that his party strives for unity and inclusive growth, aiming to bridge societal divides.
Modi also alleged that states governed by the Congress, such as Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, are being used as “ATMs” by the Congress leadership, suggesting that funds from these states are being siphoned off to benefit a select few. He linked this issue to broader concerns about corruption and financial mismanagement under Congress rule, contrasting it with BJP’s focus on clean governance.
As part of his outreach, Modi called upon attendees to identify and support families living in poor conditions, assuring that his government would provide housing and other welfare support. This, he claimed, is in line with the BJP’s aim to uplift the most vulnerable, further underlining the party’s commitment to socioeconomic development in Maharashtra.
