
New Delhi, February 27, 2025 – Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stressed the need for a “quality revolution” to boost India’s global trade competitiveness and achieve developed nation status. Speaking at the IMC Bharat Calling Conference, he highlighted that increased international trade participation is essential for India’s economic growth.
Goyal pointed to India’s LED revolution as a model for cost-saving and efficiency, urging similar initiatives like precast construction methods for sustainability and speed. He also called for stronger MSME support and stricter measures against substandard imports to protect domestic manufacturing.
