Amaravati, February 13 – Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu assured the public that there was no need to panic about bird flu, which has been confined to five poultry farms in West Godavari and Krishna districts. These areas have been declared biosecurity zones, and the affected poultry have been sent for testing, with authorities closely monitoring the situation.
Animal Husbandry Director Damodar Naidu confirmed there are no human cases of bird flu and explained the outbreak was likely caused by migratory birds. Infected poultry will be culled by evening, and farmers will receive 140 rupees per bird. A one-kilometer radius around the affected areas has been declared a sensitive zone to prevent further spread of the disease.
