    NDA Sweeps AP MLC Elections 2025 with Massive Majorities

    Amaravati, March 5, 2025: The NDA alliance secured a landslide victory in the Andhra Pradesh MLC elections, marking a strong mandate in its first electoral test after the general elections. Graduates from the Krishna-Guntur and twin Godavari districts overwhelmingly supported NDA candidates, who won with first-preference votes and massive majorities.

    In the Krishna-Guntur constituency, NDA’s Alapati Rajendra Prasad defeated PDF’s Lakshmana Rao by 82,320 votes, securing 67.51% of the total votes. In the twin Godavari districts, TDP’s Perabathula Rajasekhar won by 77,461 votes against PDF’s Veeraraghavulu, with 62.59% of the vote share. NDA’s overall vote share increased to 65%, while YSRCP’s covert support for PDF candidates failed, reflecting growing anti-YSRCP sentiment.
