Washington D.C., February 25, 2025: NASA’s PUNCH mission is set to study the Sun’s outer atmosphere and track the origins of solar winds. Comprising four small satellites, the mission will observe how solar particles and magnetic fields move through space, impacting Earth’s magnetosphere and space weather.
By capturing continuous images of the corona and solar wind, PUNCH aims to improve our understanding of solar storms and their effects on satellites and communication systems. The mission is expected to enhance space weather predictions, helping scientists mitigate potential disruptions caused by solar activity.
