    Nara Lokesh’s America Tour Completed: The IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s foreign tour has infused new enthusiasm among investors, aimed at putting the industrial sector back on track, which had deviated due to the destructive policies of the previous government. His week-long tour of America, focused on attracting investments to Andhra Pradesh, has been successfully concluded. It is reported that industrialists have indicated they will soon deliver good news regarding Lokesh’s proposals.

    Efforts to Restore Confidence Among Industrialists: Lokesh’s tour of America was aimed at reviving the brand of Andhra Pradesh, which was damaged during five years of destructive governance. During the week-long tour, he held consecutive meetings with representatives from over 100 major companies. Lokesh, who departed for the U.S. on the 25th of last month, explained the investor-friendly policies implemented since the establishment of the public government in the state and invited investments in Andhra Pradesh.

    Meetings with Major Companies: He met representatives from major companies such as Microsoft, Tesla, Amazon, Nvidia, Apple, Google Cloud, Perot Group, Revature, Salesforce, Falcon X, Equinix, and Zscaler. On the 29th of last month, he attended the IT Serve Synergy Summit in Las Vegas as a special guest, where 2,300 small and medium-sized industrialists from 23 countries participated, and he detailed the favorable conditions for investments in the state. He aimed to dispel the negative perceptions surrounding Andhra Pradesh that have persisted for the last five years and restore confidence among industrialists.

    Invitation to Visit Andhra Pradesh: On the last day of his tour, Lokesh met with industrialists and representatives from Bank of America at the WIT by Hilton Hotel in New York. He mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board is actively working to provide immediate approvals for industries coming with a blueprint without any delays. He explained that road and air connectivity are available across the 974-kilometer extensive coastline of Andhra Pradesh.

    Upcoming Infrastructure Developments: He stated that Bhogapuram International Airport is set to open within the next 18 months, which will transform the landscape of North Andhra. He also mentioned that four new ports will be operational at Mulapeta, Kakinada Gateway, Machilipatnam, and Ramayapatnam. To prepare a skilled workforce according to industrial needs, he announced the initiation of the Skill Census program for the first time in the country. He explained that international-level experts would be trained at the AI University to be established in Amaravati. Lokesh urged American industrialists to visit Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the favorable environment for investments.

    Establishment of Foxconn City: Lokesh is making serious efforts to bring back companies that had left the state due to the previous rulers’ mismanagement. To instill confidence among industrialists, he has held multiple discussions with representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry. TCS is preparing to commence operations soon, and discussions have been held with the representatives of the company to establish Foxconn City in the state. After meeting with HCL representatives, who had come to Vijayawada during the TDP government’s tenure, Lokesh learned that the company is ready to expand and create another 15,000 jobs.

    New Enthusiasm Among Investors: Through his America tour, Lokesh has built confidence among industrialists regarding investments in the state. Even major companies have given positive signals regarding his proposals. There are indications that Lokesh’s initial efforts could yield fruitful results by the time of the investment conference scheduled for January 2025 under the World Economic Forum in Davos. Lokesh’s work for brand Andhra Pradesh has generated a fresh enthusiasm among investors.
