Minister Nara Lokesh Participates in IT Serve Synergy Summit in America
Minister Nara Lokesh’s tour of America continues with a focus on attracting investments for Andhra Pradesh. He attended the IT Serve Synergy Summit held in Las Vegas, where he met with several prominent industry leaders, including Rachel from Amazon Web Services (AWS), former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, Ashwin Bharath, CEO of Revature, and Clara Shih, CEO of Salesforce AI. Lokesh highlighted the favorable conditions for investment in Andhra Pradesh.
During the summit, Lokesh urged AWS MD Rachel to consider setting up an Amazon data center in Andhra Pradesh. He also discussed the potential for collaboration in enabling seamless citizen services and requested consideration of investment opportunities in the state. He explained that AWS’s leadership could support Andhra Pradesh’s digital transformation goals, particularly in cloud infrastructure. He emphasized that AWS Cloud services could play a key role in implementing Andhra Pradesh’s plans for smart governance. Lokesh expressed that AWS’s commitment to sustainable, renewable-powered data centers aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s target of producing 72 GW of renewable energy by 2030. He noted that Andhra Pradesh offers strong infrastructure and green energy projects to support sustainable cloud operations.
Lokesh also met with Revature CEO Ashwin Bharath, seeking a partnership to establish a Tech Talent Development Center in Andhra Pradesh. He requested training for the state’s youth in high-demand IT skills such as software development. Lokesh proposed collaboration with universities and technical institutions in Andhra Pradesh to provide specialized coding boot camps and upskilling programs.
