MUMBAI: The Mumbai Police recently arrested Faizan Khan, a lawyer from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, for allegedly issuing a death threat to Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. The threat, made over a phone call last week, reportedly originated from a phone registered in Faizan Khan’s name. During questioning, Khan claimed that he had lost his phone and had filed a report about it being missing on November 2.
Authorities have taken steps to secure a transit remand, allowing them to transfer Khan to Mumbai for further questioning. The arrest follows a rise in threats made against prominent Bollywood personalities, with Salman Khan recently being targeted as well. Law enforcement continues to investigate to determine the source and legitimacy of these threats, aiming to ensure the safety of high-profile figures in the industry.
This case highlights growing concerns about celebrity security and the need for stringent security measures for actors facing such threats.
