The threat, made over a phone call last week, reportedly originated from a phone registered in Faizan Khan’s name. During questioning, Khan claimed that he had lost his phone and had filed a report about it being missing on November 2.
Authorities have taken steps to secure a transit remand, allowing them to transfer Khan to Mumbai for further questioning. The arrest follows a rise in threats made against prominent Bollywood personalities, with Salman Khan recently being targeted as well.
