Visakhapatnam, March 7, 2025: Minister Narayana stated that vigilance and CID investigations are ongoing into the TDR (Transferable Development Rights) bonds scam in Visakhapatnam. He accused the previous YSRCP government of large-scale irregularities, not just in Visakhapatnam but also in Tanuku and Tirupati, and assured action once reports are received.
Narayana revealed that in Tanuku, bonds worth ₹754 crore were issued for land valued at only ₹63.24 crore, while in Tirupati, 29 bonds totaling ₹170.99 crore were granted. Due to these irregularities, the current government halted TDR bond issuances for five months and promised full clarity within three months.
