Amaravati, January 30, 2025: Minister Nara Lokesh has launched the ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp Governance initiative in Andhra Pradesh, making it the first of its kind in India. The service will allow citizens to access various public services, submit grievances, and receive information via WhatsApp. The official WhatsApp number, 95523 00009, will provide 161 services in the first phase, including those from departments like Devasthanam, APSRTC, Revenue, and CM Relief Fund.
Minister Lokesh emphasized that this initiative aims to make government services more accessible, inspired by his padyatra experiences. He highlighted the inclusion of QR codes on certificates for easy verification and mentioned future plans to integrate AI in the second phase. Additionally, students will receive their exam hall tickets through WhatsApp starting this academic year.
