AP CRDA 38th Authority Meeting Decisions: In the 38th CRDA (Capital Region Development Authority) meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, several key decisions were made. Administrative approval was granted for Rs. 524 crores for the completion of pending works at the apartments built for MLAs, MLCs, and IAS officers. Approval was also given to commence work on 18 towers comprising 432 apartments. Additionally, permission was granted for Rs. 160 crores to complete the construction of the CRDA main office building as a G+7 structure in Amaravati. All HOD offices of CRDA, ADC, and the Municipal Department will be accommodated within this building.
Tender Process to be Completed by That Month: A decision was made to undertake a re-tendering process for the construction of 360 kilometers of roads and ducts built by ADC (Amaravati Development Corporation) within the capital region. Plans are being prepared to channel the floodwaters from the Kondaveeti Vagu and Palavagu into a gravity canal. Designs for the gravity canal have also been procured from the Netherlands. Plans are being drafted to construct six reservoirs to manage excess floodwaters. It was announced that the tender process for all works will be completed by December, with construction starting soon after.
Plot Allocation Within Ten Days: The tender process for works related to the Assembly, High Court, and iconic buildings is set to be completed by January 2025. Farmers who provided land through the 9.2 mechanism will be allocated plots within ten days. It was also noted that jungle clearance within the capital region is nearly complete. Given the maximum flood level of 11.43 lakh cusecs from the Krishna River, a decision was made to redesign the bund road. It was also clarified that work will soon begin to connect the E-11 and E-13 roads to the national highway. Work in areas with reserved forests will commence as soon as permissions are received from the central government.
